Some companies will ask you a series of questions before allowing you to speak to a person. Usually, the question is 'What is your account number?' or 'What is the name of your company?'. After finishing the series of questions and then being on hold for several minutes, a person will come on and you the same questions. And if they have to pass you to another person, it's the same questions yet again. Why do you even have to give the information in the first place?
