
sky customer service is utterly crap

have been a customer of sky for the past six years. I have recently been having trouble with signal reception. over half my channels are unavailable with no satelite signal being recieved. the others are interupted with signal pixelation. i have tried to contact sky by phone and have been told i would have to wait for 43 minutes on hold to be answered. this is disgraceful. the operator informed me of the high volume of calls being recieved with the same complaint. is there a fault with the satelite transmission? if so, why arent sky informing the customer of this. after speaking to several neighbours they seem to be having the same problems. why cant the customer be booked for a return call from the technical service department? the guys are quick enough to take your subscription fee but offer such poor service in return. i was about to sign up for the max broadband package but now feel i dont want to be tied to them for a further twelve months when nothing is done to solve the problems with thier primary product. i feel let down by sky and will be reducing my package substationally until the problems are solved. also i am now looking around for another digital supplier. if a suitable supplier is found i will be switching over.
