The Sack List

A rumor has been making rounds at work that the company wants to lay off some people. Well, it’s true. How do I know? I’ve seen the sack list. Sometimes last week, I was one of the few people still left in the office and it was well past closing hour. I went into the boss’ office to drop an assigned report on his desk; his secretary was off for the day. Left alone in his office, I was tempted to look through his computer and there, well-labeled was the list in his Documents Folder. My name is not on the list but I can’t help but feel sorry for those who are going to be fired yet still don’t know it.

Nothing new there. Everyone gets the boot eventually. People serve the system...not the other way round.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Last minute changes can be made, especially if there is any surveillance at all that showed you looking through his stuff. I hope you don't lose your job and its nice to know you have some compassion for those that are about to.
