My problems started when I switch from the Nextel side to the Sprint side, in May 2006. Before I switched, I asked them if I would still be able to use the radio with those on the Nextel phones. I was told I could and that feature would be an extra $5.00 per phone a month. I purchased two phones, but was sent four. The special they were running at that time was buy one phone and get one free. I called them to tell them; not only had they sent me four phones but they also charged me full price for all four phones. This is were all my problems began. They were supposed to send me a return kit for the extra phones and credit my account. My credit was given to a completely different account number and I was never sent a return kit. They sent me a letter saying they were going to shut my phones off if I did not pay the charges on my account. I called customer service and was told not to worry about, it was their mistake, and they would correct it. Two days later, while I was out of town, they cut my phones off. It was at this point I told them why it was so crucial for my phones to work at all times. (After my late-husband committed suicide, I developed extreme anxiety when I could not contact my children) My Psychologist told me to get everyone a cell phone so I could contact my kids when I started to become anxious. I made it very clear to the person I was speaking with to type that information into my file and if my phones were cut off again because of their mistakes; I would be forced to find another carrier who was reliable. I spent the next few months trying to get them to correct their original mistakes, which they have yet to correct. I started documenting the number of hours I had to spend on the phone trying to get them to correct these mistakes they made months ago. (I have spent over 8 hours on the phone with them and that figure doesn't even include the number of hours before I started recording it. Every time I had to call them, I would spend over an hour on the phone. They would give me the run around when I would ask to speak with a supervisor. One man I was speaking with had a very strong eastern accent, I asked him nicely to please speak slower so I could understand him. He got very angry over my request and started speaking to me like I was deaf or mentally challenged and I could even hear everyone in the room with him laughing in the background. Once again my phones were turned off. When I called to cancel my account because of they breached the contract I had with them and I needed a carrier that was reliable, I got the run around again. It took me a couple of hours before I was finally put in contact in with Aaron Sandoval in the Retention Department. He told me he would close my account and that I would receive one more bill for $75.44. The last bill I received dated September 7, 2006 showed a balance of $353.58. I am now being bombarded with collection calls and over due notices. I just don't know what to do. Sprint is at fault not me. They are the ones who didn't hold up their end of the contract. I am the victim, yet I am being harassed by Sprint. Any help or assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Time Line: Account #849383920 1/11/06 – 2/10/06 I paid $69.69 2/11/06 – 3/10/06 I paid $60.24 3/11/06 – 4/10/06 I paid $62.25 4/11/06 – 5/10/06 I paid $124.26 They credited the $124.26 to the incorrect account #058726161-5 5/02/06 a charge of $105.97 was charged to my credit card from Sprint 5/07/06 – 6/06/06 $161.08 Charges I received from mystery account #058726161-5 5/11/06 – 6/10/06 I was charged $200.00 on account #849383920 6/07/06 – 7/06/06 I paid $151.70 and it was credited to mystery account #058726161-5 8/10/06 I spoke with Aaron Sandoval in the Retention Department. 9/07/06 I received a bill for $353.58 I would like for Sprint to correct their mistakes, and leave me alone. Any amount they show I owe is because of their mistakes not mine. I have already purchased two new phones through Cingular and I am very happy with the service I have now. At this time, all I want is for Sprint to show a zero balance on my account and to stop harassing me. The last bill I received from Sprint was $353.58 and it was from the mystery account they created.
