Ryan's Steak House

I went to Ryan's Steak House in Pace, Fl to eat on Sat at noon. I noticed that the cost on Sat was $1.00 higher on Sat than on the weekdays. I had also noticed that the price goes up significantly after 4pm (I think that's when the dinner hour starts). Well, this time I decided to ask what was different about their menu from weekdays to the weekend that made it worth $1 more. The cashier was not sure but she thought it was because they added shrimp. She left the front to go back ans ask (I assumed), and a man came out and asked me if someone was helping me. I told him that I thought the cashier had gone to find the answer to my question. He asked me what it was, and I repeated my question about what was different in their menu from weekdays to weekends that added $1. (By this time I had taken the money out of my pocket and placed it on the counter waiting for the cashier.) The man, who later identified himself as the general manager when I asked, ran through the menu but did not identify the difference between weekdays and weekends. He became agitated and told me I was not welcomed in Ryan's and if I did not leave, he would call the police. I asked him what his name was and the phone number of the corporate office. He quickly said something which I did not catch. I asked one of the cashiers the number, and when she started to tell me, the manager told her not to. I looked around the lobby to find this information and finally found a critique form which I took. I asked again for his name and he told me it was Jack. When I asked for his last name he said I did not want to know it. Then he said it was 'none of your business.' He asked my name and I told him. I started to give him my card and remembered I had left them in the car. He said why don't you have one, don't have a job?' I have never seen or experienced such rude behavior for one who is supposed to represent such a large consumer oriented business as Ryan's. I left and completed my shopping and decided that his behavior was so outrageous that I should report it to his company. Without any witnesses, however, it's my word against his. I called the police to ask for an escort to prevent a recurrence but they told me they could not get involved in a civil matter. I have complete confidence that the people in the lobby, including the employees, saw this rude individual for what he is, embarassed by a simple question and unable to handle maybe an unusual situation in a dignified manner. Maybe it's time more people ask why the price increases just because the time changes and not because there's more on the menu.
