UPDATE Thursday 3rd August 2006 I'm elated BT text my mobile to inform me my landline has been reactivated! Yeeha, cheers of joy. I come down stairs to see if I have any replies to my RANT. Switch on the PC connect to internet after much troubleshooting & blue air, I am directed to a TALK TALK page that tells me my service has been restricted with a CA (Customer Advisor) contact number. Are you keeping up with this? 12:30pm I call the CA, I wait approx 10 minutes to be answered, my call is important! Bloody right it is. A chap answers, I'm so angry I forget to note his name. I explain I paid the bill yesterday; my landline is active again, what's the problem now? He has the Ł55.32 figure in front of him & isn't listening to my issue at all. I ask to speak to a supervisor he puts me through to CS at 12:45pm. I'm listening to ‘revolutions' & ‘bringing us together'. I'm spitting feathers & broken the nib off the pen I've been frantically writing my notes with. 13:00 hrs Brian in the LEARNING CENTER answers my call, very apologetic & wants to help!! I go through it all again, he notes my number in case we get cut off “cos we've had a few of those today” he informs me – oh what joy! He keeps putting me on hold while he confers with the manager, then he says he'll call me back so I'm not hanging around & that I probably want to get some shopping done! How thoughtful & considerate. Only 5 minutes lapse & my phone rings – yes it is ringing folks, I can TALK TALK! It's Brian, he's spoken with the manager & we have a problem with the outstanding figures. I inform him of the recent amounts on letters & hard copy bills I have. I do not know what is on the online account as I haven't been able to access them for days. I tell Brian I wasted half a day on the phone to sort out the landline yesterday & that I have to collect my daughter from the train station which is 25 minutes away. He says he's waiting to ask the manager, why can't I speak to the manager it would be easier & I can explain AGAIN what the problems have been. You can't do that he says, give me a time to phone you back & I will try to have it sorted for you by then. My daughter calls on the mobile “Where are you Mum?” Call me back after 3 I tell Brian. On my way out of the drive I'm so distracted I clip my wheel on the wall!! Off to the station I go. Arrive home at 15:10 missed call from a withheld number at 15:07 it's now 16:08. Brian where are you?? Help me!! I wait, the virtue of patience has long surpassed, about 10 days ago. It's now 16:10, wouldn't you be the same? Pick up my active landline – I'm so thankful to BT I can TALK to people. But then it occurs to me that as I haven't activated my CPS with CW at TT again I will now probably face charges at 7.5p per minute! Just what my budget needs – NOT & once again this isn't what I got sold over the telephone, to be back with BT for 3 months.
