if he isn't in a relationship and you aren't a competing couple, ask him out. the worst thing that can happen is you get a no and thigns are a little awkward for a while. and yes, i'm talking from experience here. i was / am interested in someone i dance with. i asked. got rejected. still feel better for it. at least this way the tension is gone, i can relax and work on getting over it.
