lose weight or no marriage!

My boyfriend told me to lose weight or he will not marry me! He straight out told me that I'm too fat and he doesn't fancy my body anymore. He says he loves me but can't help the way he feels. Yes, I've gained weight over the years and I'm not happy with the way I look but does he really need to be so direct about it? I just don't know what to do. Yes, I should lose weight but would you put up with your boyfriend insisting you lose weight before he will marry you? What would you do? I'm really hurt and it's distroying me inside & out!
