Arriving at a a LaQuinta hotel, we were told the pool was not working (a main reason we chose it). We asked to be moved a few miles away to a LaQuinta with a working pool and were rudely treated, but finally they agreed. Got to the 2nd hotel and the A/C didn't work in our room, moved to another room and the toilet stopped up (there was only a single clerk on duty so nothing could be done). Moved to another room and the smoke alarm was beeping, so had to get a battery and replace it myself!
