Credit Card Charges

I am complaining about the MBNA Credit card. I don't know how to complain loudly enough but this is a start. I was enticed to change my credit card over to MBNA for their '0% interest until January 2007' offer. I have done a lot of homework on this sort of thing so I knew not to make any purchases on my new 0% credit card and that there would be a 2% charge for any credit card cheques written. I was also aware of the exorbitant £32.00 late payment fees. Kicking myself I remembered almost too late that 2nd my payment was due and that it would not reach my account before the due date. I braced myself for the late payment fee. But imagine my distress and disbelief when I was not charged a late payment fee but the 0% interest rate had actually been SWITCHED OFF!!! Therefore forcing me to pay around £28-30 PER MONTH interest for the rest of the promotional period! Thats around £200 minimum for the rest of the promotional period PLUS the interest on THAT interest for the rest of that time! People, this in effect constitues a £200 PLUS late payment fee!!!! This is nothing short of extortion, and downright theft, even bordering on deception. After a 35 minute telephone call a satisfactory arrangement was arrived at. But WOULD ALL MBNA CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! READ THE SMALL PRINT OF THESE LONG RANGE 0% offers. Don't be ripped off. Your cash is too hard earned and these conglomerates have BILLIONS. Don't just hand over your LIFE (represented in your money, which you have exchanged for your time which is your life) to these people. If you get stung, make a stand. If enough of us complain loudly enough this kind of 'legal mugging' HAS to stop.
