My daughter has a holiday booked but is unable to go because of the death of her boyfriends close friend. Her boyfriend is in the army and it is an army associate that has been killed. The young man killed is to have a military funeral and all his batallion are to attend. The holiday company refuse to allow any changes to the booked holiday, saying that the date of the holiday is too close. The insurance company say no claim is able to be made as the young man who was killed was not a relative. There are no exceptions to everyone in the batallion attending the funeral, not that anyone would have it any othe way. Isn't it sad that we have unreasonable people to deal with. All that was needed was for the reputable, (huh), holiday company to have a little compassion for the young lads who fight for this country to attend a funeral of a colleague, and not loose a £968.00 holiday.
