You think a little boy's pain is funny? You will suffer, too.

A few years ago my wife, son, and I went to a hibachi restaurant for dinner. It was a special occasion of some sort, but I don't remember what it was. I do remember my son was only two or three years old and his seizures were not quite under control yet. In the middle of dinner, my son had a seizure. He fell off his chair and bumped his head. Luckily, he did not fall on the hot cooking surface. He just fell off his chair. What I do remember that my wife did not see as we tried to calm our terrified son is that a piece of human refuse across the table started laughing. My priority was to comfort my scared little boy, but to this day I regret that was unable to walk over to him and force his face onto that stove top until his cheek was a fucking cinder and fluid in his eye boiled and popped. I never got hear him scream. I never got to watch him face the world as a deformed creature as ugly on the outside as he is on the inside. It is an unfortunate consequence of my job that sometimes I have to fire people who tried their very best and did everything they knew how to do. It just isn't enough. I had to let a fellow go who haltingly explained that his wife had a heart defect that required aggressive care and expensive surgery and she could die without his health insurance. Sorry, brother. I can't help. This ain't a charity. We live in a world where a toddler's fear and pain is amusing. Let it burn.

Maybe it's Karma's way of dealing with your attitude towards your workers. You know kind of like "Sorry, brother. I can't help it. This ain't a charity and that shit is funny."
