Uneducated people working for charities

I offered to do some voluntary work for the british heart foundation on bridge street in york. On the day I started I decided to be totally honest and told the assistant manager that I am a Hepatitis B+C sufferer, she told me that this wasnt a problem and so I spent half of my Saturday helping out. On the following Monday I walked in to offer my services once more for a couple of hours when I was asked to step into the back office, when the assistant manager got me in the office she told me that I was no longer able to be a volunteer because of my ILLNESSES as she put it, she wouldnt even say Hepatitis, she reckons that she had spoke to the head office and that they had said that they didnt have the insurance to cover me and other volunteers in case I had an accident, now I find this dispicable as I wasnt to be working with food so what the hell is the big deal. SO IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS A HEPATITIS SUFFERER LIKE ME, THEN WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT OFFER YOUR SERVICES AS A VOLUNTEER AT THE BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION As they will just shit on you from a great height like they did me, they sure know how to make people feel dirty, which is wrong, i am not at all dirty, and have lived with hep for 6 years now, and have helped family bring up there children, and the kids are OK. Thanx for listeneing whilst I let off some steam, Yours a HEP SUFFERER, ELLIE VARLEY, FROM YORK.
