U-Haul in Bowling Green, KY.

I went to U Haul on August 26, 2006 to rent a storage unit. After I rented it I was not given access to my unit because everyone left and the unit was locked up with a security lock from U Haul. No one was available for the rest of the weekend to remove the lock and when I finally returned that following Tuesday to access my unit I was told by Adine Brantley that I would have to pay an extra $10.00 service fee so I could access my unit any time of the day or night. That is when I cancelled my unit, and when I ask for my money back I was told that they do not give any money back. I had called early that morning to find out if they had removed the security lock and Adine Brantley argued with me the entire telephone conversation about how I should understand men that they get grouchy at times, I was wrong for not telling them that I needed to access it at night time as well (I did tell the young man who was working there that night that I needed an outside unit so I could access it at any time), and she said that I was wrong for saying something to the young man about his behavior to the customer (which was very rude). I then decided that I needed to take my business elsewhere and I needed to get my money back so I could get a unit across town where people don't argue with the customer and make the customer feel like dirt! And I was told that I do not get my money back although I never got access to the storage unit. As a result, I had to travel another 50 miles (one way) back to Bowling Green to cancel my unit and because I was not given my money back I was forced to go into debt with my bank by renting another unit across town and not getting my money back from U-Haul storage. This ordeal cost me about 4 hours of sleep because I had to travel back to Bowling Green and then home again and I feel that I was verbally abused by Mrs. Adine Brantley because all she did was argue with me and tell me that I was completely in the wrong. I was being treated with disrespect by Mr. Dominique Corbitt and neither one showed any type of P.R. (Public Relation) experience. I am still very upset over this traumatic ordeal I had to suffer through with these two representatives of the U-Haul corporation here in Bowling Green Kentucky. Way to go U-haul for hiring thiefs and customer abusers!!!
