too hot work conditions

I am shocked to find out that there is no legal max temp for an employee to have to work in .I work in one of Europes largest junior school kitchens and am quite sure that the heat we have to endure in the summer is not right, our company will not even provide fans to reduce the temperture of the work place or provide us with a lighter uniform for the hot months ahead .
