My friend's son, 11-years-old, was taken to the emergency room in July 2006 with a fever and flu-like symptoms. As they were running tests, and were unable to diagnose him right away, a female doctor told his parents that he probably had Lukemia. He was subsequently taken to Houston, Texas to Texas Children's Hospital (awesome hospital!!!) where he was finally diagnosed with pneumonia. Well, it was very serious and he spent two weeks in the hospital, but it was NOT Lukemia! Stupid doctor....almost caused the parents to have a breakdown right there in the hospital.
