I ran out of my meds, and a doctor in my hmo medical bld is keeping me waiting for my very important medicine,while he waits for a blood test report that has nothing to do with my sickness/I have been diagnosed three times in this past 15 years that I have Celiac disease,have to be gluten free.I have been told that I have to take this medicine for life .There will be no changes to the meds.If I ingest gluten it damages my intestine and I break out in a very excruciating rash.Well I was almost out of my meds when I asked for a refill, they said my refill was expired and i would have to see the doctor,they let that go for some reason, I think because my doctor was not there,because when I went to the doctors office because I was very distrought with a bad rash and I had stopped eating because I was afraid of eating any gluten and becoming worseThe nurse came out and told me that the doctor wants a blood test to see if anything else was going on.I only caught a glimps of the doctor . i did not know him ,and he did not know me.I had been telling the nurse for a few days that I was OUT of my medicine.and was about crazy with my rashThis doctor did not see me.The nurse took the blood and I said how long will it be before we get the results,she said it will probably be here tomorrow.That was three days agoI have not eaten for days in case it gets worse.I am already malnourished becase of the celiac.If I get a rash, it means I ate gluten,and it can only get worse without my meds(Dapsone)I told them I need my meds and they are ignoring it.My situation has not changed in 15 years and I know I will have to take the meds as long as I am alive.I do not take any other medicine.only the dapsone when needed.It works and has always worked.This new doctor will not give me what I have to have.one dapsone will take care of my pain and the damage to my intestin.I am hurting.he ordered the blood test withoutseeing me.What kind of a doctor.I am with an hmo.and it is in a medical building where there are other doctors.I do not know this guy and he does not know me.I do not know what happened to my regular doctor.When I told them four days ago I am desperate.he could have given me just a couple of dapsones to tide me over, but no.That would have lasted probably a week.I am not a drug addict I am almost 80 years old and they have caused me to be totaly exausted with the rash and pain and hunger.I am afraid to eat.I have been fine with that medicine.email: coralx12@yahoo.com
