Doesn't matter if Sprint sells you a text messaging plan or not, if the cell phone you use is not SMS compliant (and they know whether it is or not) Sprint will sell you a texting options and then charge you internet access fees of 2 to 3 cents per kilobyte...I know because I have been charged $100 for not knowing this little fact. And they (Sprint call centers) will not recitify the charge...they use the power phrase 'legitimate charge'.
