I write further to your letter of 26/06/06 requesting payment towards my account. I have funds waiting in my account in order to pay the balance, however I would appreciate it if you would clarify a few matters for me first. As you are aware there has been water ingress to my home since September 2005. I forwarded a cheque to the value of £300 to cover the repairs and you acknowledged receipt on 17/03/06. Unfortunately there is still water coming into my home every time it rains. As I made payment in March and to the best of knowledge all the other proprietors have done so I presume the work has now been done, yet the situation has not improved at all since the repairs were carried out. As a direct result of the worry and distress I have experienced living in a house unfit for human habitation for the last ten months I have become ill and have been forced to leave my home on medical advice. I realise that being rude, obstructive and deliberately unpleasant seems to be something of a company policy for you however I would be eternally grateful if someone could do something about the water coming into my house within the next fourteen days. All I want to do now is sell my home and move somewhere that I will not have to have any dealings with your company again. Other than committing suicide I can see no other way out of what has been an utterly miserable experience. I am therefore withholding any payment towards my common charges until the roof repairs are carried out to an adequate standard or a reasonable timescale is supplied for work to commence. I note you have threatened me with court action and would take this opportunity to advise you that I too intend to raise a small claims action against you to obtain a refund for the totally inadequate repairs to the roof. In addition to which I shall certainly be taking advice with regards to pursuing a personal injury claim for the effect this has had on my health.
