I was visited by a young student selling books from a company named Southwestern located in Nashville. They provide testimonials on their webiste of what a good company they are; however, they are a scam. Don't waste your money. I purchased $180 in children's books and CDs. Since I lived in Nashville, I was familiar with the Southwestern name but had never done business with them. Once I order and paid for the books in full, I was told that they would be delivered in September came and went and all we received was a phone call. We returned the call but never heard back from the one. Today, October 11 at 7:30 pm, a young man rang the doorbell with the books. My five-year old daughter was so excited that they have finally arrived. Then, the young man informed me that I would have to produce my cancelled check or receipt showing that I had actually paid for the books. Apparently the company does not keep payment records. How can that possibly be? Unfortunately, we could not keep the books without proof of payment so the young man took the books back from my daughter and left me to deal with her tears. How heartless of a company is Southwestern in Nashville? My husband has the receipt at his work but the young man would give no information regarding when he would return. Apparently, they just show up. My options now are to file for a refund which I imagine will be a nightmare since Southwestern in Nashville doesn't even keep payment records or photocopy the receipt directly to the company and wait for them to send them FedEx. Do not buy from this company. They will scam you!
