
SKY is the worst!!

I hereby wish to complain about the services i received from Sky. I am very dissatisfied with your services. I have had a very bad experience getting sky TV and Broadband at home that i will not recommend anybody to get sky no matter how appealing your offers are. As i send this complaint to you, i am also sending it out to a lot of friends and family that they are warned from getting sky in their homes. With regards to the Sky TV, i have the following complaints: I made a request sometime in August during one of your offers where i thought i could get all channels for £15 a month for 6 months. Apparently that was wrong and i was given only 2 entertainment channels (variety and knowledge). I was not told i would not get all the channels, i was only given these 2 channels plus sky movies. I am not a 'Discovery channel' fan and so i was dissatisfied when i discovered i could not cancel this channel anymore without cancelling the offer (which i think is ridiculous). I am now stuck with a couple of channels that i do not need for 6 months before i can change anything. If it was explained to me that i only have to choose 2 entertainment mixes, i would have chosen the variety and Music channels. I am really upset about this and if it was possible to cancel any services i would have done that the very first day. Secondly, i was told the Sky box would be installed at my convenience. This is a lie because i was told he could not come on the day i wanted him to and the installation was scheduled for 3 weeks later. I had to take a day off from work just to be at home to meet your installation crew. I was told he was going to call, the morning of the installation to inform me when he will be coming, but was not contacted and i had no idea when he would show up. i had to call sky to inform me he would show up in the afternoon. This was also very upsetting. With regards to Sky Broadband, i have the following complaint: I ordered for sky broadband on the same day as sky TV and after a month i am still waiting to receive the package at home. When i first called sky broadband, i was told i had to pay £20 upfront and since i just moved down here (couple of months ago) i do not yet have a debit/credit card. I only have a simple cash account card (which i cannot upgrade until after 3 months). So i was surprised that i could not pay cash/cheque and i had to ask a friend to use her debit card to transfer the money. After that, i was told it will take 10 days and i would have my broadband. 2 weeks later, i had nothing and i called only to hear that it will take 10 days alone just to get an activation from BT before i would be contacted. It had obviously not happened and i was told they are waiting on BT to give a confirmation. A week later, i called back and was told they had not received any confirmation yet. I decided to wait for a couple of weeks and see what would happen and as i expected, nothing happened. I decided to call back 2 weeks later only to hear that my request was rejected because of faulty cables in my area. i was not contacted for this and i find it appauling that i had to contact Sky to get this information. After confirming that my request was rejected, i was told i could put the request through again and because of this, i would have to be given back the £20 again and i had to give her the account details of the friend in order for her to take the £20 back again which is a very stupid method. I gues there should be a way of transferring the money from the previous request to the current one. I have now requested for broadband again and lets wait and see what will happen this time, maybe it will be rejected again, who knows!!. Just to let you know that in the first place, i never wanted Sky Tv, i only got it because of the broadband which i now regret requesting for. After speaking to several of your customer service agents, i must say i am very dissapointed in Sky for employing people that do not know a thing about what they are doing. All i hear from them is i am sorry, that is not what i want. I paid for your services and i need to get what i paid for. I am still going ahead with your services but i need someone to contact me and give me the 2 channnels i requested for from Sky TV and to get my broadband installed ASAP. I am actually still waiting for my broadband box to be sent to me after waiting another 2 weeks again. I called and was told the box was returned back to the sender without any notice. i now have to wait for another 5 days. i will never advice anybody to get sky ever.!!!
