Service Magic Ripoff

I started a service company. When things got slow I though I would try the web to see what would happen.I found a service outfit called Service Magic. They said that they would send leads for jobs in my area, all I had to do was give them a credit card number. Out of 12 leads I got 1 job. Most of the leads were not serious, But you pay for them reguardless. After they ate up the profit from that one job. I turned them off. I closed the credit card account but the leads came anyway. They then sent me an e-mail stating I owed $22. for leads I did not act on. I requested that they send me a bill and stop sending me leads. We don't do that, was there responce. You need to give us a credit card number. I told them I would not. After 3 or 4 phone conversations I sent them a check for $22. Now I have a collection company that wants $11. go figure. You can get in, but it's hard to get out.
