seagate hard drive ac adapter

I had a new Seagate 160G external hard drive for a month @. I AC adapter burned out a diode of some sort. I couldn't find 'anyone' who could sell me a new adapter cord. I bought another one in desperation for just the cord and a little more backup. After another 20 hours, this new adapter is burned out. I can't reach Seagate thru their web site. I'm willing to buy another adapter if only I could find one. I can't be the only person having this trouble. My electricity is ok
