I called safelite glass company which I found in the yellow pages of my phoone book regarding replacing my auto side glass which was accidentally broken, they could repair quicker than anyone else and even came to my home to do the work, sounded great , boy was I WRONG. They came out and did the work alright but in the process they didn't bolt the window back to the regulator properly and as a result it worked lose and broke the regulator along with other parts in the window. When I called them back they told me to take the car to a local dealership and bill them since they were nation wide . I did just that and when my car was in the process of being repaired they suddenly refused to pay for the damage and the tech. decided he didn't say that to me. I have 2 mechanics word on paper stating this was a result of bad installation on their part along with a witness who knew the window was working. When I tried calling them they were very hateful with me saying they would see me in small claims court because they took their techs. word over anyone. I then faxed them proof and they still refused to hear my complaint. My beef is when I went to file this in small claims court I found I couldn't file it where I live since they aren't located in the county I live in. So now I am stuck living with a window that should have cost 182. to fix costing me over 600.00. If any one out there needs repairs done to their window on autos let this be a lesson to you ,DON'T call safelite. It may cost you more than its worth.
