The Alliance & Leicester made an error which they have admitted on the 'phone, but never in writing. This has resulted in charges & consequential charges of over £4000. They refuse to refund these. The Financial Ombudsman believes everything they say & is useless. I had banked with them for over 20 years & now I am bankrupt.
