Radio Shack

Radio Shack is one of the most unprofessional and degrading businesses I have ever dealt with. I had a problem with my cell phone. It was broke in two pieces. It also had been replaced once before by verizon. long story short the first phone was covered by a radio shack service plan. I took the second phone to radio shack to see if there was any way that plan transferred with the phone and even more if there was any way that it would be covered. I know a really far reach, but I thought so whatdo I have to lose. Apparently only my dignity and self respect. The cashier boy told me that this was no problem. Even proceeded to show and tell me exactly what would be done to the phone. Told me it would take a couple days. I left relieved. 2 weeks later I get a phone call asking if I would accept the estimate for my phone. Of course I said no, it is supposed to be covered. The lady told me that it is not covered because it is in 2 pieces. I told her to send it back and immediately called my radio shack to se what was going on. The manager told me that yes in deed it was not covered. That he would talk to cashier boy and ask him what went on. He als told me that they never told me when I bought the phone that the service plan would ever cover this. I told him that they did and he called me a liar. 1 day later I went into the store to confront them both. I told them that I would have never had them send the phone out if I knew it wasn't covered. Cashier boy of course lied. He had no idea it was a replacement phone. bull!!!!!!! he never told me it would be covered. aghhhhh.....he followed the law of the radio shack to a t. I had to actually say that I am intelligent enough to know that if something is not to be covered under a service plan then I would be expected to pay. I had to clarify the fact that I am not retarded to incompetent cashier boy. After getting no where fast I asked for the name and number of the district supervisor. and also received an apology from the store manager who called me a liar. The district manager basically told me that my phone was broke in 2 and therefore not covered and that it was a replacement phone. wow, he sure told me. I called to complain about how things are handled and he wasted my time with useless info. I told him that I was led to believe it would be fixed under the service plan. he told me that he would talk to cashier boy. he called me back . said that everything will be handled in the store. 2 wrongs don't make a right. and that he stands behind his employee 100 percent because I am lying. really, what do I really have to gain.he even had the nerve to ask me when my plan was up and he wanted to help me out. how? by signing me up with another sucky radio shack plan? the nerve. I told him that was none of his business. I asked him how far back they keep surveillence, I want them to see what went on. to which he replied, we don't have surveillence. yes oh yes did I ever laugh. an electronics store without surveillence. I then requested the regional managers name and number will be talking to him on monday, am pretty sure he already has the 411. In the meanwhile both managers told me to insist on a refund from the service plan. the service plan did not do anything wrong. radio shack did. I am filing a formal complaint against radio shack with the service plan. I am also filing a formal complaint with radio shack headquarters. I hear they love to fire people. I am also sending a copy of the letter to both managers and radio shack consumer relations and public relations. I have never been treated in such a demeaning and undignified manner and will not let this die until I recieve apologies from each and every one of them. If this is how they treat their customers on every level then I will turn this into the biggest pr nightmare they have ever seen.
