Raccoons

I have been upset with the raccoons messing up my lawn recently. There are probably 5-6 of them (mother and the babies). They spend time in the huge maples that grow at the edges of my lot and come down at night to dig in the lawn. They are too cute to hurt, and probably protected, but I don't want them destroying my lawn!
