private investigator!

I try to believe that my guy would never cheat on me. I've given up so much in my life to be with him and I just want to be sure that he will not cheat so I'm thinking about hiring a private investigator to spy on him and/or even attempt an affair. Do you think I'm being paranoid or what? It's just, when we're out and about he checks out other women and I think if he was given the opportunity to cheat without me knowing, he would. He's done it once before when I was away on business but he ended up telling me. I don't know.. Should I go ahead and do it or what? He wouldn't know unless he's caught or I told him. I just need to know for a fact that he wouldn't stray on me before I continue this relationship. I appreciate your input. thank you Karen ps. the private investigator said they would have a beautiful lady with a flat tire just outside his work. She would stop him and ask for help, flirt with him , give her phone number and make plans to meet him at a restaurant, she would not show up and then I would know if he went to meet her because he would have told me he had to do something at work or make an excuse to leave the house or I could always show up at the restaurant and catch them. The private investigator told me it's my choice which senario I want. Should I, or should I not? It would really confirm everything, wouldn't it?
