It's good to turn to your faith especially when you are out of your depths. Sure, since you are a Christian, it's only right that you seek forgiveness as long as you have a conviction of sin. I can tell you though that you shouldn't expect a paranormal nudge to put you on the right path. You need self-control and a willful determination to act right. Back up your prayers and belief with the right actions.
