Pool Repair guy is a thief

On August 18th, 2005 I hired Rodney D. McIntosh of R & D McIntosh Pools & Spa Inc. in Miami to perform repairs on my pool. Rodney represented himself as a license and insured contractor, after signing a contract and providing Rodney $1500.00 deposit, we agreed on the job being completed in 3 days. He left with my check, came back the next day. Worked for one hour and I never saw him again. Rodney took my money and ran, I have yet to get my money back. The work was never completed, nor did Rodney provide a refund. Research on Rodney revealed that he was not licensed, nor did he have commercial insurance. Additional research at the Clerks of Court's office in Miami-Dade revealed that Rodney has a decency on illegal narcotics (Cocaine), as he was arrested very close to the timeframe when I hired him. This might explain his lack of interest to refund me my $1500.00.
