Police employers must now stop their employees entering danger to avoid Health and Safety lawsuits. This entirely short-circuits the entire purpose of an effectively interventionist policing capacity: no one knows - or if they do, they ain't saying. Our local police phonelink can't spell my town (I have umpteen witness statements). 999 now doesn't ever mean now immediately - it now means perhaps, eventually, when it suits us. 101 simply rehearses why no action will be taken. Never mind less meaning more; here is living proof that more delivers less.
