Patriotism And Common Sense

Patriotism and common sense during a time of war is harder to find these days. It's hard for me to believe that people can be so ignorant or self-absorbed as to talk bad about our President and/or service men during a time of war. Are they so ignorant that they do not realize we all need to stand together at times like this, not tear-down each other. Heck, all our enemy has to do is be patient and we'll turn on and destroy each other. Hello.....? Some people need to be sat down and explained to....for example: Every player on a baseball team may not agree on a lot of issues. They may not even like some players. BUT...when it's time to play the game all has to be layed aside while everyone works together for the BIGGER GOAL....winning the game. If one player makes a stupid mistake during the game.....they don't stop backing the player or team and go get a sign and start protesting! Do they have the legal right to? Maybe. But that's not what's MOST important at the moment. Instead, we should take up the slack for one another and continue to stand strong as one team until the game is over. There's a time and place for everything. Is not protecting our loved ones an important enough reason to all stand together as one strong force during a time of war? I think we each need to pause long enough every morning to REMEMBER how we felt on 9/11, because at any time their could be another morning like it, or worse. I must say, I was in awe at the united way we stood, in spirit and heart together those first few days after 9/11.
