Parents in schools are a nuisance

I work at a school and sadly but true, the biggest obstacle and the biggest annoyance we get is parents who misguided by the t.v and other commercials about parental involvement are constantly trying to 1. speak with the teacher, regardless of the fact that educational instruction is being given by the teacher to all, not just that parent's child. 2. Parents objecting and refusing to cooperate with safety measures designed to keep their children safe, such as not realeasing children during school session hours to anyone without an ID. Also, refusing to provide needed information, such as emergency contacts. Every single day it's a battle to get parents to cooperate in the most minimal aspects of school policy. I'm just sick of parents obstructing our teachers' and our staff's work for their own children. We need parents to cooperate and help us, we do not need to have to argue over minimal requirements to 1. educate your child and 2. keep your child safe. Help us parents.
