Packet8 8x8 internet phone service is robbing me. I signed up for the service almost 1 year ago. I got 1 month free service.I had severe problems with the service, poor tec support, promisses of refunds ect.. I called them after the seccond month and cancelled the service because of tec. problems. I just found out by mail that they have been charging my credit card for almost 1 year. I have not made 1 call on there service in almost 1 year. AT&T retreved my phone number from 8x8 the same month that I closed the account. I called packet 8 to fix the problem,I was told that the account was never closed and owe them alot of money. They told me i was being turned over to collections soon. I asked if they had call reccords and i was told that i had made no calls in almost one year. I have been told 3 times that a manager would call me and fix this problem, LIE,,. I even e-mailed the CEO of the company and expressed my problem, he resopnded to my mail and said he would fix it,,LIE,,. I was told ,because there was no note in there computer of my account being closed that it diddnt happen.. so they are going to ruin my credit. packet 8 or 8x8 has charged me several hundred dollars for an account that i closed and have not used in almost one year, and they want more money from me and will not call me back or fix this problem. Im sure this has happened to many more people , because it semes to be standard practice for this company. Please never use this phone service, stick with MA--BELL they will call you back and take care of any complaint you have because they want to make money honestly...
