My husband paid on a very small insurance policy for 24 years. In 2004 he no longer heard from his agent,we were aware the policy would be paid in full in 2004. He became very ill to the point that felt that I needed to check on his life insurance. Well, the company informed me that he no longer had a policy. I continued to call, faxing information about the policy, so very worried. Finally thay found it and said that $500.00 was still owed on the policy. I sent them a check for $500.00, and they cashed it. Then they called and said becaused my husbands physical condition wasn't as it was 24 years ago they decline to activate the policy. So we paid for a policy for 24 years and got nothing but stress. My job had down sided so the policy I had for him at work was dropped. So, here this man is extremely ill with no coverage after 24 year. The policy was only $10,000. The worry almost put me in the hospital. I can't let go of how the company treated us as customers for 24 years. No justice, when ask about the agent, was told he was no longer with the company.
