Never buy a Northwestern Bell home phone

I purchased a Northwestern Bell home phone in Aug. '05. Seven months later it stopped working. I followed the warranty information, paid the $5 fee, and sent it back. Two weeks later I received a 'lesser' model, one with less features. I complained, and sent it back. They sent a better model 2 weeks later. That one worked for 3 days until the battery went dead. I asked for another one, but they wanted another $5, but sent another battery. That lasted another 3 days. I complained again, but they never sent another phone. After over 20 e-mails to them, I kept getting the run-around. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and after 6 weeks, they never answered the complaint to the BBB, and the BBB dropped the complaint, noting their non-compliance in their records. A 'company history' feature on the BBB complaint form rates this company 'F'. It states that the company has a history of not answering complaints, and for selling defective merchandise. Don't but any Northwestern Bell product.
