I hired a car from Budget Car Rental Tower Hill and when i returned it they charged me for mileage when the agreement was unlmited mileage. I even have an email quoting unlimited mileage. I have been contacting budget for two weeks and have left at least one message per day but not once has anyone called back. I keep getting told that the manager will call back or that the manager is in a meeting. Thats not all. When i first made the booking i had booked a BMW specifically. Two days befor the delivery of the car i get a call saying that the car is booked out and they can only offer a mini. A mini from BMW 645ci convertible? They could not match the BMW which their website clearly says that a same group or higher car for no extra charge. Eventually we decided on a car. Then they call me and tell me to pick the car up after some deliberation i decided to agree. When i arrived at the office they tried to charge me VAT on an already VAT inclusive quote. They then tried to say i have to drop the car off too when the original quote said free delivery and pick up. Then the guy tried to limit me to 100 miles per day. After much discussion he seemed to give in (little did i know). I am still waiting for a response and since the incident i have found out that it seems to be normal practice for them.
