WOULD YOU LOCATE YOUR ELECTRIC METER AND THE FUSE BOARD UNDER THE BATH OR SINK.KNOWING THAT ONE DAY THE SINK IS GOING TO GET BLOCKED AND OVERFLOW. THAT IS EXACTLY HOW THE MERCEDES S CLASS HAS BEEN DESIGNED. IF THE GUTTERS GET BLOCKED IN THE CAR THE WATER SEEPS INTO THE CAR DAMAGING ALL THE ELECTRONIC CONTROLS.THE ONLY TIME YOU LEARN OF THE WATER SEEPAGE IS WHEN THE CIRCUITS HAVE SHORT CIRCUITED AND THOUSANDS OF POUNDS OF DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE.MERCEDES HEAD OFFICE AND THEIR DEALERS IN BRENTFORD INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS ONE OFF.I TOOK MY CAR TO A LICENCED MERCEDES SERVICE CENTRE,AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THIS WAS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH S CLASS AND THAT THEY REPAIR BETWEEN 2-3 CARS WITH SERIOUS WATER DAMAGE. IS MERCEDES BENZ LYING?IS IT A DESIGN PROBLEM and should unblocking of the gutters be part of the service.HAS ANY BODY SUFFERED THE SAME PROBLEM. BY THE WAY MY CAR IS 3 YEARS OLD AND HAS DONE UNDER 30.000MILES.SO ITS BASICALLY A NEW CAR. IN THE SERVICE MANUAL MERCEDES CONSIDER 30YEARS AS THE LIFE OF THE CAR, DISGRACEFULLY MY CAR HASN'T LASTED 10% OF THE PROMISED LIFE OF THE CAR. IF ANY BODY HAS SUFFERED A SIMILAR WATER DAMAGE ISSUE PLEASE CONTACT ME ON mark@iteji.fsnet.co.uk and I AM CONTEMPLATING A CLASS ACTION AGAINST MERCEDES BENZ.
