Lied to get my friend to dump his lover

I lied about my friend to his lover. I told his lover that he was cheating on him just so they would break up because I hate his lover. His lover promised not to tell him who spilled the beans and when confronted, my friend actually said he had cheated and tried to make up and promise to be good. Now my friend is coming to me for comfort and I may actually have a chance at getting to be with him. His lover was a douche and I don't feel bad about this at all.
