Never purchase anything from JC Penney! I have ordered from them twice now, and both times my order was screwed up. When I called to complain, the 'customer service representatives' were rude and obstructive. I'm starting to wonder if they are trained this way by JCP! My most recent order is 3 weeks delayed because the price on one of the items was increased by $5, and they didn't know if I still wanted my $300 order, so they just left it sitting there. When it didn't show up, I finally called about it today and was told that they would ship it on Monday (6 days from now!), and that it would be to me within a week of then. When I suggested that, in light of the 5 week delay, they could expedite the shipping at no charge, they flatly said no way. When I mentioned to one of the reps that most companies put a premium on customer service, she actually said 'No, we don't'! Shocking! (By the way, her name was Deborah in the Nashville office, and she's apparently a supervisor!). Please join me in boycotting JCP.
