Is this incest?

Im a 16 year old guy in a sexual relationship with my 19 yo step brother. We started having sex about a year after our parents got married. I was 10, he was 13. We are very much in love, but a few weeks ago we came out to our family. Of course they all freaked out and accused us of incest. We are not blood related so how can this be called incest? what do you people think?

This is actually more common than people think. What matters more than what words apply to it is whether or not it was consensual. If there was no coercion of any sort involved, then this is nothing that should worry anyone. About ten percent of people in their early 20s will indicate in anonymous surveys to having already had consensual sexual contact with a blood sibling. It is even more common with stepsiblings, especially those who didn't meet until after puberty started.

In our state 16 is the age of consent...but in our state it also says it's only illegal if the partner is over 21 and you are under 16....He is not a predator. our relationship started when I was 10and he was 13. It was a mutual thing!

No, it ain't incest, but it sure as hell is very gay. You now being 16 and he is 19 makes it illegal sex, no matter when it all started.
