I think my home is dysfunctional

I love my family. My parents are both good, loving people. I am currently a young professional that lives with them (no other siblings in the house currently). The three of us all have jobs in the serving humanity sector of the employment wheel. Each of us serve a population that can be challenging but rewarding and very necessary. We are all considered gifted in our respected areas, and of average/above average intelligence. However, we all come home to a house that is a disaster. I cannot afford to move out. No one wants to talk about it, but it's pretty much the law that no one can have visitors. The shame is too deep to really address openly but I'm slowly caving under the weight of disorganization and chaos. I mean, dishes, bills and all that stuff gets done. But there are piles and piles and piles of just.. I don't know, stuff in every single room on nearly every surface. I don't know how to handle it on top of working 50 + hours a week and health problems. I can't point the finger because I know I'm just as responsible but I can't take it. I don't know what to do. More than anything I pray that someone out there someday can see and help with compassion.

So the house is clean, but disorganised?? Common problem when you work very long hours. Just start small. One shelf, one day. Throw everything on that shelf out that isn't financial records, has sentimental value and you haven't used in over twelve months. Move all the things you need to keep into the very last room you plan to clean. Do the same thing every day until you're finished. When you get to the last room, buy some clear plastic roller boxes, and just sort the relevant paperwork etc into their respective boxes. Just do a little bit every day. It doesn't matter if it takes a while because it's all in one room. Most importantly, make sure you don't let the stuff build up in all the other rooms again. Once it's clean, it's easy to maintain. If you're really struggling for time, you can actually hire people to do this for you. If the house is dirty and disorganised and full of junk, that's actually a mental health condition. There are organisations that can help you with that too.
