There's never a simple answer for your question. It has to do with lots of things. Perhaps you have low self confidence. It's easier to keep what you already have than to try and attract a new mate. You 2 may have incredible chemistry which makes it very hard to peel away. I went through the exact same thing you are going through. In the end, you must recognize what you DO NOT not want for the long term. It's so easy to keep toxic people in our lives. Breaking away from them is the hardest but the best thing for you. It's hard to do what's right for us but it is best. Find your strength and your voice and say goodbye.
