I feel horrible

When I was in college i audtioned for the main part in a play I didnt get it but got another part instead Well this other woman (who actually was and hopefully is my freind) got it and I so mad. Iwanted to get back at her so bad. I know it was childish but i told her boyfreind that she was cheated on him and he beleived me. He was upset and I offered to'cheer him up' we ended up sleeping together and now I feel really stupid I told her what had happended and she says she forgives me but our freindship will never be the same.
