I can't get over my ex bf

I still can't come to terms with the sudden break-up. My boyfriend and I were very close when suddenly, after seven years, he broke up with me over the phone. That was two years ago and we have not spoken since. We met at university. I am now 27. His reason was that he did not feel ready to move in with me. But he is already living with someone new and I think they will marry this year. I have tried dating other men, but no one comes close to him. I treat them badly and just cut them off like my ex did to me. Why can't I get him out of my head?
