GRIFFIN POWER DON'T PROVIDE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS

The local utility company, Griffin Power in Griffin GA don't provide no payment arrangements for customers. This is very bad for customers who have a problem with paying their monthly electric/water/heating/air bill. My avearge monthly bill is usually between $250.00 to $350.00. Griffin Power changed everyone's billing cycle, which created a problem for most customers. My bill use to be due on the 16th of every month, now it's due on the 6th. Once the bill due date approaches, customers have 7 days from the due date to pay the bill. Griffin Power mails its customers a disconnection notice between the 3 and 4th day past the due date, informing the customer they have until the 7th day to pay the bill or the electric will be turned off on the next business date. In my case, I got the disconnection notice on the 9th, given to the 13th to pay the bill, if not the electric will be turned off on Monday Oct. 16, 2006. Out of all the utility services, this electric company is the only utility company I'am aware that don't provide any type of payment arrangements, budget billing or extensions. The price for Griffin Power electric service is ridiculous and to much. Just this month some Griffin residents protested the change in the billing cycle and the payment arrangement issue. I have personally sent emails to the individual who is over the utiltiy company regarding providing no payment arrangements. But, nothing was really done regarding this matter. I would like for any Griffin GA resident who object to the change of the billing cycle and the no providing payment arrangements for customers to list there complaints as well and hopefully someone who can make a difference will see it. Also, I am looking to see if Griffin Power is breaking any laws by not providing payment arrangements for a utility company. If only I could get GA Power, I would switch in a second. So any new home buyers or renters, please be aware Griffin Power don't and won't provide any payment arrangements or extensions. Customers are getting their electric turn off and having a hard time paying their electric bill. I guarantee the employees and family members of Griffin Power aren't receiving the same service. Griffin Power employees and top dawgs, get it together and operate a service that people would use even if there were 10 other electric companies providing the same service. Customers stand up for your rights, check out the laws regarding this and let's work together to stop them from forcing customers to pay the entire bill if he/she can't afford to. Also, remember the average bill is between $200.00 to $400.00 per month. $400.00 is half of most individuals mortgage. Wake up Griffin Power!!!!!
