Mehdaros stood, shaken from what he had seen. Too much fear filled him to be happy for his family. '... Lidia...' he muttered as his thoughts collected in his mind about his child. She rested her head back down, tired from the event. 'You have more words against our child?' She said, calming her breathing.' Mehdaros sighed, not wanting to upset her. He indeed had more to say about this night, but was afraid of what upsetting her might do. He decided to try to make it easy to understand in a false light. 'Lidia... the boy-' She spoke above him to correct him. 'Gorne.' He simply nodded and continued. 'Gorne is blessed with a great power. There are legends of Vampires born on a full moon as a race of their own, bathed in unholy magics...limitless compared to any Vampire around here. A Lunar Vampire is said to have healing abilities and control over the night that dwarf the abilities of my old clan. Even our leader is not as strong. But that vast power dwelling inside a halfling? I fear such power could corrupt him, or take hold of him...' Lidia took his words into consideration, but clearly held a strong faith in the child. 'How do you know such a legend is true, Mehdaros? If Gorne held such dark power then... no. I refuse to believe one can simply be born evil.' Mehdaros shook his head. 'Amun Xir...' Lidia looked at him, familiar with the name. 'Your clan's greatest warrior? He who slew my parents?' Mehdaros nodded 'Yes, is a Lunar Vampire...' Her eyes lowered to the floor. 'His power surpasses any of ours, and as such even our leader fears him. He never had to strive for such a position, but if he so chose, he could kill half our clan and lead the rest on his own against the humans. I would not call him evil...' Gorne's story was interrupted by the old man again. 'What exchactry are theshe 'dark powersh' anyway?' Gorne pondered that for a moment. He liked boasting about his power so explaining this interruption amused him. 'Well, there are multiple types of Vampires. For instance, the Romanian Dragon Clan, or known always as the 'Dragon Clan'. Humans who feared Vlad as 'Dracula' are referring to the Dragon Clan. Vampirism is not a power so much as it is a disease.' He smirked a bit before continuing. 'You see, full Vampires are immortal because they are not alive, nor are they dead, or even of this world. Vampirism started years before this earth could possibly have kept a history of such a thing of Chaos.' He paused. 'To explain Chaos, or its workings, is like picking one spot in the air and telling me to monitor it's every wind gust, and every breath which comes to inhale it. It works along the flow of magic that encompasses the world, and disrupts it, as well. When Good triumphs over Evil, Chaos is the impossible that brings Evil back to challenge Good once more. In such a way, Chaos manipulated humans who were too weak to resist its dis-Orderly afflictions. It created a race of humans that did not need food, did not need air, or even the sun. They existed because their minds simply allowed it, and their bodies followed, working on their own accord.' He grinned. 'But, blood still needs to flow through our bodies for this to continue. It is Chaos' joke on us, since it stopped our hearts from beating. But... over time... Vampires became more than the immortal. Magic and Chaos over time 'perfected' the new race of Man. Some Vampires now only suck Chi to exist, some exist only as spirits, or nightmares, and even others are simply stronger humans who suck blood and hate the sun. The DRAGON Clan however... developed the strongest flow from Chaos. So much so, that the Chaos can be wielded.' Eek swung himself upright on top of the fire escape, his cat-like ears twitching. 'Show him. You were gunna anyways sooner or later.' Gorne gave a sarcastic gasp. 'Me? I'm WAY too humble for that!' Eek's ears flattened. 'Master... please tell me you see the problem with that sentence.' Gorne thought for a moment. 'Hmm... Way too humble... Nope, sounds like that describes my perfection to me!' Gorne nodded and stood up, wiping scum from his coat while Eek let loose a string of curses in an unknown language. 'Alright, now for the demonstration!' Gorne put his hands together in front of him as if in prayer and stopped moving. The old man perked up, excited to see real magic. With his hands still together, Gorne extended his arms outwards so they were parallel to the ground. He closed his eyes for only a moment before opening them. A strange chill filled the air as everything in the alley seemed to get darker. The darkness seemed to pull from some areas and focus into others as it pooled into dark spheres in the sky, a purple haze and lightning charging through and around them. Gorne pulled his hands apart and these dark spheres returned to the black mist like state and collected between his hands, growing into a large black sphere. The purple lightning charged through the inside of it, tearing apart reality, while a purple and red haze surrounded the sphere. Gorne put his hands behinds his back, smiling while the sphere moved to his side by force of his will. It dropped to the ground, and it didn't explode, or even damage the ground, so much as tear the concrete from existence altogether as the sphere sunk into the ground, leaving nothing more than a crater, all proof of the sphere's existence gone. 'If chaos was flammable, I could set the world aflame. It exists in the air, flowing with the magic that covers this planet. All I am gifted with is the ability to harness it and-' Eek gave out a shrill. 'Hey 'humble' master, I think your show stopped his heart.' Gorne blinked and looked over. The old man had a blank look on his face and wasn't moving. 'Old man?' Gorne poked him on his shoulder and the man stirred. 'I think I pished myself.' Gorne dropped his face into his palm. Eek started laughing. 'You had to be dramatic about it huh? Heh heh.' Gorne peered around. 'It looks cooler that way then just summoning them...' Gorne snapped his fingers once and quickly the black mist gathered in one spot and in only a second another sphere appeared. It lasted for only a moment before turning back into a black mist and returning to the universe itself. 'Chaos is a mysterious thing. It works in it's own ways, often on it's own accord, and keeps to itself. That's why it loathes the light that reveals it. When a Vampire exists in the Sun, Chaos leaves them, and thus the evil it holds with it. Without Chaos, a Vampire is... well, a pile of ash.' Eek nodded. 'So if you were in the sun, guess that would make you an ash.' Gorne sighed through Eek's mockery. 'Shall I continue?' The old man nodded...
