Forums and Post used for chat rooms

I visit a certain authors website frequently. She has a forum on it where you can post comments and discuss her books. Everytime I go to the forum to post and read comments i have to go threw tons and tons of blah blah blah that doesn't have anything to do with the author or her books. WTF! The forum was specificly made so that we could share about her books. Not about kids, and who some chic named Cher thinks is hot. Or world news. They use it for their own personal chat room, and I know personally i don't give a rats a** about these peoples lives. If they wanna communicate then they need to create their own chat room or email each other.
