FORD MOTOR CO.

This is an old complaint from 1994 which I could not get resolved even though I tried for over one year. I bought a new Ford Tempo and three weeks later it died out in rush hour traffic. I took it back to Ford service and was told it needed a new $800.00 part and was told that the Tempos had this problem. I picked my car up after work and was not given a receipt as the service dept was closed. To make a long story short, this same problem happened twice more within a month. The third time I took it back to the service dept, I was told, in front of several other customers, that I had never been there before and they had never repaired my car and had no record of any complaints I had made. I contacted Ford's Corporate office, The Better Business Bureau, and the Attorney General's office, all to no avail. The car never drove right and after one year I traded it in for another car, but had to pay extra as I still owed so much on the Ford Tempo. I would never buy another Ford. If you get a lemon as I did and take it in for service, they get around the lemon law by lying about you even being in their dept. I now take great pleasure in the fact that Ford is getting a lot of recalls. Just goes to show you can't just rip people off and get away with it.
