I purchased a Life Fitness T9E treadmill from Fitness Resource in Annapolis, MD in August 2005 for home use. I bought the Life Fitness product on the recommendation of my athletic club because it is similar to the one I used there. I was told it is the finest home product. I used it for about 8 months when it completely stopped working because the stop switch on screen indicator states the emergency switch must be replaced. I called Fitness Resource and spoke with their service department who ordered parts that were shipped after a three week delay. A service appointment was scheduled and the service person arrived with a broken part that he attempted to install. The part did not fix the problem. I requested overnight shipping on the new part, I was told neither Life Fitness or Fitness Resource does business that way. Two weeks later the Fitness Resource person came to repair the treadmill and again it did not work and I was told it is a bad part. I have been waiting seven weeks for my almost new treadmill to be repaired, I have waited at my home for five hours for the repairman taking time from work and made countless phone calls. My experience with the Life Fitness product has been terrible, a supposed top of the line, expensive piece of equipment should work for longer than 9 months and if it breaks there should be immediate repairs. My experience with Fitness Resource has been horrific, comparisons of new cars and breakage, lack of genuine concern and results in repairing it and listening to the many countless excuses of why it cannot be repaired. As a customer I am very dissatisfied.
